Holger and Ben from BUNGALOW AGENCY<\/a> invited me to take part at the great KULTUR TOUR BRASIL<\/a>. This was a four weeks trip in November,\u00a0visiting four cities in Brasil and do art on\u00a0 location with kids, school groups\u00a0and anyone interested. The whole thing is a big, long term organisation involving GOETHE INSTITUT<\/a> and other cultur organisatons by the german and brasilian\u00a0governments as well as big sponsors. A huge Truck with a libary, multimedia content, cinema and a stage\u00a0has been\u00a0the center point at each city. Next to different visual Artists and local Bands,\u00a0there\u00a0where theater plays as well.<\/p>\n

My concept was to create art with simple, easy available tools and\u00a0near to no\u00a0money. I\u00a0wanted to provide not only art but as well inspiration how to do it on a minimal budget, everywhere, anytime and\u00a0no matter whats your background. As well I wanted to do something cultural\u00a0useful. The whole thing is about a transfer of the different cultures from german and brasil. So it all comes to communication. As\u00a0I don\u00b4t speak portuguese and most locals don\u00b4t speak german, creating a visual dictionary, containing 3 parts: image, portuguese and german language\u00a0has been\u00a0a good, fun\u00a0idea. In four weeks I created 16 motives using stencils, spraypaint and old newspaper that I painted with white wall paint. The stencils allowed me to transfer the motives to a large number of posters, T-shirts or even the walls of shops. The communication worked perfectly and we had so much fun with locals, kids and shop owners who got creative and took their piece home with a smile.<\/p>\n
