Lucha Libre, the mother of wrestling. Definitely i love the masks of the fighters – of course, they are misterious, flashy and present the the wrestler. Masks alow the creation of a own character a true fictive person. A serious fighter commits to his character and even wears the mask in public. Anyway Lucha Libre is pretty young on the spot creating an alter ego by covering the wearers true face. Masks do have a global and very long tradition in the live of humanity. African Masks are very spiritual and Chinese Theatre Masks are very beautiful crafted. I created these Masks based on Lucha Libre with the influence of African and Chinese mask tradition.
